Study progress, marked questions, preferences and local reminder settings are stored on your device. Firebase Analytics also receives app interaction events, study language, purchase-flow events, technical diagnostics, app/device information, an app-instance identifier and approximate country/region information. These records can be associated with identifiers; they are not described as completely anonymous.
Analytics helps us understand usage and improve the app. Advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalization are disabled. The iOS “Share iPhone Analytics” switch does not control Firebase Analytics. This pilot build does not provide a separate in-app Firebase Analytics opt-out.
Apple handles payments. StoreKit verifies purchases and determines premium access in the app. We do not receive payment-card details. During this pilot, RevenueCat remains an optional purchase-tracking service and may process receipts, purchase state and a pseudonymous app customer identifier.
The app also sends Apple's signed purchase records to our native revenue service hosted on Firebase. The service verifies Apple's signatures before keeping transaction and original transaction identifiers, product, amount/currency when available, purchase/expiry/refund dates, environment and purchase ownership information. These records support revenue reporting and refund reconciliation. The ledger does not store the complete signed record, customer account token, name or email address. Purchase reporting failures do not remove premium access.
The developer's private revenue panel uses Google sign-in and, when enabled, Firebase Cloud Messaging registration tokens for developer sale alerts. This is separate from the student app; students do not need to sign into that panel or register for those alerts.
Firebase/Google and RevenueCat process data under their service terms and may process it internationally. See Firebase privacy information, RevenueCat's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy.
Local study data remains until cleared or removed with the app. Analytics retention follows the Firebase/Google Analytics project's configured settings. The pilot ledger has no automatic deletion schedule; purchase records remain for revenue reporting and reconciliation until removed by the operator. Contact us for access, correction or deletion requests. Any required retention and the feasibility of locating a pseudonymous record will be considered when handling a request.
